I was looking through the Casual Male catalog and I noticed a spooky color called "griffin grey." How awesome is that? So I thought, if they have one cool color they might have more, right? So I went through the whole catalog color by color and discovered that they not only have one, but eleven! So, here's the list...
-griffin grey
-dark shadow
-raven grey
-gothic grape purple
-black forest green
-forest night heather
-carbon heather
-midnight
-rivet grey
-gunmetal grey
-ghost blue
My fav. color name is "raven grey," for obvious reasons. Lol. The silliest I think is gothic grape purple, it just sounds funny. I wonder why they made "ghost blue"? When I think of ghosts, I don't think of them as being blue, unless it's Inky from Pac Man. I don't remeber what the color looked like in the catalog and I wrote these names down a while back. I just checked the website and when I search for "ghost blue" no items come up, so next time I get a catalog, I'll update this.
I also like "dark shadow" because of the original show, not the remake, it sucked. Also Tim Burton is making a Dark Shadows movie with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. Not to mention Christopher Lee (old school Dracula). That reminds me, I need to finish watching all of the Dark Shadows episodes on Netflix before the movie comes out in May.
I love how they try to make colors of men's clothes "manly". Like a pink shirt is not called pink, it's called salmon, because it's the color of a salmon, which is PINK! Some of the other colors in the catalog I had to google because I didn't know what they were. Like demitasse brown, I was like WTH is that? Apparently it's a small cup used to serve arabic coffee or espresso. Then sometimes red is just called red. Why is that? They couldn't think of a manly red name? How about "blood red" or "rogue red." Ha ha! I think Casual Male should hire me as their color namer. What do you all think? ;)
Update: I looked at "ghost blue" in the new catalog & it looks more like purple to me not like Inky the ghost from Pac Man.
